Zhou Fan was born in 1983 in Shanxi Province in northern China.

In 2006, Zhou Fan graduated from the art department of Shanxi University. He participated in a solo exhibition and several group exhibition in his home province that year.

Zhou Fan participated in a museum show in 2007 called "Art Design" at the Zendai Art Museum in Shanghai, one of the top art museums in China's financial capital.

In late 2007, Zhou Fan was selected as one of the top 25 emerging Chinese artists (out of over 1300 applicants) at the Chinese Art Prize (CAP) by important international art critics, including Gerard Goodrow (Director of the globally famos Art Cologne) and Jeff Kelley (Curator of the Asian Art Museum in California). Zhou Fan was given the "special mention" prize, which had never been awarded before. The Chinese Art Prize launched Zhou Fan's career, and allowed him to gain much more exposure.

Also in 2007, Zhou Fan participated in Art Beijing, one of the top art expositions in China.

In 2008, Zhou continued to exhibit globally, with a group show in New York and an excellent reception for his work at Art Cologne in Germany, one of the world's most important art expositions. And in October 2008, Zhou Fan had his first big solo show at Art Scene China in Shanghai.

Zhou Fan's work was exhibited at the Doland Museum of Modern Art in Shanghai in 2009. The artist's work was also exhibited at the Toronto International Art Fair (TIAF) in October that year. Earlier in the year, Zhou Fan also held shows in Dubai and Bahrain in the Middle East.

Guo Xianzhong, born in Huayang, Sichuan, China, 1941, is now resident in Chongqing, China.

Mr. Guo began studying traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy from a very young age. He later studied at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, but had to terminate his schooling early for health reasons.

He was a visiting lecturer at the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1989 and deputy secretary-general at Chongqing Traditional Chinese Painting Academy in 1990. Between 1995 and 2000, he worked as deputy secretary-general at Chongqing Chinese National Culture Promotion Association to promote traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy.

Besides specializing in landscape painting, he paints animals, flowers and plants, and figures.

In his early works, he painted inland landscapes with emphasis on brush techniques and ink use. More recently, he has focused on tropical scenery with bright hues and striking contrast. He has also added calligraphic flavor to his crane and monkey paintings.

His works were exhibited at many Chinese art galleries, and in other countries such as the United States, Japan, Canada, the Philippines and Taiwan. His works have also been published in various magazines and newspapers at home and abroad.

In 1985, his painting ‘Autumn’ was included in the New Traditional Chinese Paintings Selection published by Tianjin Fine Arts Publishing House.

He held solo art exhibitions at the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University in June 1986, at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in May 1987, at Qingdao Art Gallery in September 1987, at Henan Museum in October 1987 and at Sichuan Artist Association in August 1988.

In 1988, his works were included in An Album of Modern Landscape Paintings published by Henan Fine Arts Publishing House.

In 1994, his painting ‘Night Reading’ was on display at the 2nd Asia International Wash Painting Exhibition held in Taiwan.

In 1996, his painting ‘Spring’ was on display at the 8th China National Art Exhibition.

In August 1998, he joined a Chongqing art delegation to Macau and his painting ‘The Song of the Red Woods’ was on display at the art exhibition for Macau’s return to China.

In September 1999, he led the ‘Love Toward Yangtze River’ art exhibition delegation to Manila, Philippines and his painting ‘The Late Autumn Of Ning River’ was on display at that exhibition.

In October 2000, he was invited by the Kaohsiung Municipal Social Education Hall to hold a solo art exhibition in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

Most recently, Mr. Guo held a solo art exhibition at Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum between 16 and 20 October 2012, which received wide public attention and accolades (for details, please check out this link: 2012 Guo Xianzhong’s Solo Art Exhibition).
